The new PSP is about to be released any month now. There is a lot that you need to know before you go and lay out the cash for one of these new PSP systems and I have the first specs right here. So what is under the hood of the newest PSP?

This system will feature a touch screen interface much like the iPhone and the iPad. Whether or not this will be utilized in game play has yet to be determined as well as how games will be played on the system. Sony got rid of the UMD with the release of the PSP Go and many gamers have still bought the old PSP in preference. Will Sony try this again with this PSP?

That is still unsure but as of right now the NGP (Next Generation Portable as Sony calls it) doesn’t appear to have a port for games. The Nintendo 3DS has an option to buy games for system downloads but still supports traditional game sold at stores. I really hope that Sony doesn’t go with an exclusive content download system again.

The reason is because if you lose, damage, or break your systems then you have to go through the trouble of downloading your games all over again. A friend of mine had this problem with the DLC for his X-Box and his Playstation. No matter how you cut it gamers like 60 dollar games to be something they can actually hold.
