This week saw the release of the much anticipated sequel to the Parasite Eve series that is simply titled The 3rd Birthday. The only title hotter than this one is the release of Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy and has lead to many with PSP owners having a hard time trying to decide which one is best. It all boils down to what you are looking for in a game.

The 3rd Birthday is the latest entry in the Parasite Eve series. The storyline has been closely guarded but many have seen the preview videos and have been excitedly awaiting the return of this series. What is known is that Aya, the protagonist from the other two games, will face enemies that she is unfamiliar with and that this title pushes the boundaries of the PSP. The M rating has put a lot of teenage gamers at ends with this title but Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy will surely draw you in if you aren’t looking for the blood and gore of The 3rd Birthday.

Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy is a sequel to last year’s surprise hit Dissidia Final Fantasy. The original quickly became a must own for every PSP owner but had a few glitches that have been worked out in this title. This title also offers a lot more than just your typical sequel as it is expanding on the original story by adding new characters that weren’t available in the first game. The most intriguing of these are characters from Final Fantasy XIII that will be able to utilize their paradigm shifts in combat. This could possibly be the biggest release week for the PSP.

Two power house titles coming out in the same week for the same system rarely happens. Every PSP owner should go out and pick these up today as they will provide countless hours of entertainment.
